If you have a computer and or home network
then you can test it vulnerabilities with the shields up tool.
Once you arrive at the shields up site the tool will
check and display your computers ip address.
After this, you have the option of checking
common ports and file sharing ports on your computer. The goal
for a computer user is to have the tool report back to you
that your computer is in stealth mode.
Once you run the tool it will take a little
while to check all of the ports on your computer but
surprisingly not really too long.
If there is any problem with your computer
and or network security it will tell you and provide some
solutions as of what you can do.
If everything is ok you will see all green
lights while the shields up tool is working. You will then see a passed
icon near the bottom.
